National Security and Diplomacy Course's Graduation Ceremony

On 4 of April 2014 Special Course National Security and Diplomacy for the personnel of Defence Ministry and General Stuff organized by International Centre for Geopolitical Studies was officially completed. Defence Minister Irakli Alasania and Chairman of ICGS Tengiz Pkhaladze congratulated the students on successful completion of the course and awarded them with certificates.

"During the course the participants had many discussions, specific conversations and debates; they also referred to national security, military diplomacy, military protocol and defence management issues. Civilians and military servicemen had opportunity to deepen in analysis how to manage the defence structure and make appropriate assessment of the geopolitical environment in the region", outlined Defence Minister Irakli Alasania.

Special Course on National Security and Diplomacy

Special Course on National Security and DiplomacyOn 16th of September 2013 Special Course on National Security and Diplomacy has opened At the International Centre for Geopolitical Studies. Within the course, employees of the Joint Staff and the Ministry of Defence will take a lectures on Economic Security, Geopolitics, Conflict and Diplomacy, the Negotiation Skills , Diplomatic Protocol and etiquette , Defense and Security , Intelligence theory, Political risk analysis.

Lectures will be delivered by the experts of ICGS.

From April 2012 to March 2013 International Centre for Geopolitical Studies - ICGS (Georgia) with the partnership of Ukrainian Institute of Public Police – UIPP (Ukraine) implemented project “Security Barometer: Monitoring and Early Warning Analysis of Regional Threats to Stability and Security in Ukraine and Georgia”.

The project was aimed developing and improving capacities of non-state actors in Ukraine and Georgia for early warning analysis and field based political analysis for prevention of conflicts and instability.

Religion as the Instrument of Russian Foreign Policy towards Neighboring Countries Georgia, Latvia, Ukraine

From May to November 2012 International Centre for Geopolitical Studies (ICGS) implemented research “Religion as the Instrument of Russian Foreign Policy towards Neighboring Countries Georgia, Latvia, Ukraine”. Experts of politology from Georgia, Ukraine and Latvia were involved in this project (Tengiz Pkhaladze and Tornike Sharashenidze (Georgia),  Andis Kudors (Latvia), Olexiy  Haran (Ukraine)). At the end of the research the book “ Religion as the Instrument of Russian Foreign Policy towards Neighboring Countries. Georgia, Latvia, Ukraine ” was published.
