At the 5 of June 2011 the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between Baltic to Black Sea Alliance (BBSA) and International Centre for Geopolitical Studies Georgia has signed. MoU was signed by Richard Berug, Chairman of BBSA, and Tengiz Pkhaladze, Chairman of ICGS Georgia.
ABOUT BALTIC TO BLACK SEA ALLIANCE (BBSA - www.bbsa.lv)
Baltic to Black Sea Alliance (BBSA) is an International NGO Alliance for Regional Security and Democracy. Currently BBSA unites Latvia, Georgia and Ukraine. The Alliance is looking to expand to other Baltic and South Caucasus countries as well as Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova and others.
The BBSA was founded on October 31, 2008 by more than 40 founding members representing different professional groups coming from Latvia, Georgia, and Ukraine.
The primary goals of the BBSA are:
Facilitate and promote Georgia’s and Ukraine’s Euro–Atlantic integration;
Facilitate consolidation of free, democratic, socially and politically harmonic society in Georgia and Ukraine;
Facilitate the creation of a new international alliance in support for Georgia and Ukraine in order to actively assist the secure and democratic development of these two countries;
Education of local publics in the Baltic States and elsewhere by attracting attention of the international society to topics important for Georgia’s and Ukraine’s democratic development, security and successful Euro-Atlantic integration.
