On June 3, 2011, experts and policy makers from Georgia, the Baltic Sea region countries and Russia will gather in Riga for the conference entitled "Georgia towards 2013 – reality, reforms, and expectations" to debate the recent internal developments in Georgia, its foreign policy challenges as well as to seek for possible solutions. The conference is organised by the Baltic to Black Sea Alliance (BBSA) in cooperation with the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation (LATO) and European House Georgia.
In the framework of the discussion experts and policymakers shared their views on the questions of security and defense as well as Georgia’s relations with Russia, especially in the context of occupied territories – Abkhazia and South Ossetia. In this case by the chairman of International Centre for Geopolitical Studies Tengiz Pkhaladze was presented the book "SOFT POWER" – THE NEW CONCEPT OF THE RUSSIAN FOREIGN POLICY TOWARD GEORGIA (August 2008 postwar period)".
The presentation were attended by Batu Kutelia Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia, Janis Sarts State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Latvia, Evaldas Ignatavicius Lithuanian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterine Tkeshelashvili State Minister for Reintegration, Victor Dolidze Tbilisi City Council, Giorgi Targamadze Leader of Parliamentary Opposition and other officials.
